Abstract:To explore the use of Viagra for the treatment of erectile dysfunction, we aimed to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of the drug for treating the conditions associated with ED. We have been investigating the effectiveness of the drug in treating the following conditions: (1) erectile dysfunction caused by diseases of the cardiovascular system such as hypertension, atherosclerosis, and coronary artery disease, (2) and ED (the disease that results from sexual arousal or stimulation). In this retrospective study, we have investigated the safety and effectiveness of the drug in treating these conditions. The drug was selected to study the effectiveness of the treatment in the following conditions: (1) erectile dysfunction caused by diseases of the cardiovascular system such as hypertension, atherosclerosis, and coronary artery disease, (2) and ED (the disease that results from sexual arousal or stimulation).
Study Design:Patients were randomly allocated to the placebo group and the drug group for 10 days. The study was conducted in patients with moderate to severe ED. The patients in the drug group had at least one dose of sildenafil (10 mg) administered orally. The patients in the placebo group also took a placebo before the first dose of the drug.
Study Measures:We have conducted the following measurements. (1) Blood pressure, heart rate and blood pressure (BP) tests were performed before and 30 minutes after the drug. (2) The mean blood pressure was checked every 30 minutes. (3) The mean blood pressure was checked every 30 minutes. (4) The heart rate was checked every 30 minutes.
